Processing Orlando Workshop
Processing is an open source creative coding programming language used by tens of thousands of students, artists, designers, researchers, and hobbyists for learning, prototyping, and production. The latest version was recently released, and at the December workshop for the Orlando SIGGRAPH chapter we’ll take a look at its capabilities first-hand. The first hour will be a quick Intro to Creative Coding led by Nathan Selikoff, fine artist, programmer and founder of the Processing Orlando meetup. Bring your laptops loaded up with Processing 2.0 (go to http://processing.org, click “Download Processing” and follow the instructions to install the application). They solicit a donation, but you can choose “No Donation” and download it for free. Processing is cross platform (Windows, Mac, Linux). Don’t worry if you’ve never used Processing before, or never programmed before – this intro will be suitable for beginners.
