The Orlando ACM SIGGRAPH Professional and Student Chapters proudly presents:

Animation Nights Review & the UCF Visual Language Animation Masters

Get your Animation shown to the world and the local community!

Animation Nights Review will be a monthly, re-occurring event starting in January 2005. This format will be an open and free invitation to the Theatre at the Downtown Orlando D.M.A.C. to Show & Tell your animation work in a relaxed, user friendly setting.

Industry professionals will be joining the format to provide regularly scheduled Chalk Talks and How-to-Sessions when it comes to the same questions we all have about creating Animation, be it short or long format, for film, video or multimedia.

The Purpose of this monthly format will be to explore the interest for Animation in the Central Florida Community through the Orlando ACM SIGGRAPH Professional and Student Chapters. The eventual goal is to be able to introduce a Call for Participation in a local Animation Festival that will have a direct relationship with the SIGGRAPH annual convention and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

UCF Visual Language - Animation Masters

The Orlando ACM SIGGRAPH Professional and Student Chapters will support and work in conjunction with the Visual language Program in the UCF School of Film and Digital Media in presenting Animation Masters.

When: Monday, November 8th, 2004
Where: The Digital Media Arts Center (D.M.A.C.) Downtown Orlando
Free: This event is free to all participants
Time: Doors open at 4:30 with a reception immediately following the interview.

Please see D.M.A.C.'s website: http://www.dmacorlando.com for directions.

Nelson Saba, president and executive producer for Visual Book productions will describe his vision that led him to animate the entire bible and create a unique computer and DVD experience with sharp dramatic 3-D animation, virtual reality tours and compelling video that has sold over 800,000 copies.

This begins our Eight-part series of up-close and penetrating interviews with animators, studio heads, producers, directors and technicians. Our talented guests will tell their stories and give us an opportunity to trace the fascinating non-linear path to their success.

Come and be part of the affair and network with other animation lovers, students and professionals.
