Hans Rijpkema was went to the University of Twente and earned a Master's degree in Computer Science. His thesis "Knowledge Based Human Grasping" under the guidance of Michael Girard of SCAN in Groningen resulted in a paper he presented at the Siggraph 1991 Conference.
Currently, Hans is responsible for a wide variety of topics related to character development, such as, character rigging and skinning, fur grooming and animation, and model creation and deformation. Over the last 10 years, he has worked on over 30 feature films including: Mousehunt, Babe: Pig in the City?, Frequency, Harry Potter I, Cats and Dogs, Elf, Scooby Doo, Riddick, Garfield and Narnia. |
