Cards Against Humanity Tournament

Join Orlando ACM SIGGRAPH at The Geek Easy for a tournament for horrible people. Bring your competitive nature, your friends, and your sense of humor. Through 3 rounds, 50 players will be culled to one champion. Only 50 spots are open, so register now! Ages 18+ only, must be 21 to drink at The Geek Easy.

Winner: Wacom Intuos Tablet, 4GB OSIG Flash Drive, and knowing you are better than 49 other people.
1st Loser: 4GB OSIG Flash Drive
2nd Loser: 4GB OSIG Flash Drive

First and second round will be played with the original decks. We won’t mix your booster packs into our decks. If you want to play round 1 or 2 with booster packs, bring your own deck with booster packs mixed in. 3rd round will be played on a deck that includes booster packs 1,2,3 and 90’s.

Gameplay:

Round 1
5 tables of 10 players: 50 min round
Each table will be assigned an impartial “Card Czar” to determine the winner of each hand.
Winner of the table is the first to make it to 5 cards, or the player with the most cards when the time limit has been reached.
2nd and 3rd place players will be determined by the players with the 2nd and 3rd largest amount of cards when the time limit has been reached.

Round 2
3 tables of 5: 50 min round
Each table will be assigned an impartial “Card Czar” to determine the winner of each hand.
Winner of the table is the first to make it to 7 cards, or the player with the most cards when the time limit has been reached.
2nd place players will be determined by the players with the 2nd largest amount of cards when the time limit has been reached.

Final Round
1 table of 6: 50 min round
Each table will be assigned an impartial “Card Czar” to determine the winner of each hand.
Winner of the table is the first to make it to 5 cards, or the player with the most cards when the time limit has been reached.
2nd and 3rd place players will be determined by the players with the 2nd and 3rd largest amount of cards when the time limit has been reached.

Tie breakers are determined with an extra hand played between the tied players.

Rules:
We will be following the basic rules for CAH, with the exception of assigning each table an impartial “Card Czar” that will judge all hands. This is a funny, tongue-in-cheek game. It’s not meant to be taken seriously. Don’t participate if you are easily offended or like to cheat. Try not to get food or drink on the cards. Basically, don’t behave like a bunch of savages and be excellent to each other.
